Nobara will be at the beginning stages of the illness where she'll be feeling quite fatigued, hungry and irritable (more than ... usual). She's also feeling some of that numbness in her fingers and toes, that will gradually progress to pain and delirium. ]

He's not even positive that germs are the cause of the illness, considering what this train is capable of doing. But that's not for Nobara to worry about! She can just focus on resting up and waiting for those embarrassing stories of her classmates while Satoru handles the rest.

[The numbness is a bad sign. By now, Satoru knows that the next stage is pain, and then other, worse symptoms will follow. All the more reason to rescue her from the clinic and put her somewhere (marginally) more comfortable, where she can be monitored by someone who won't try to use leeches or whatever it is the nurses think will cure train-issued illnesses.

But! Satoru isn't one to wear concern on his sleeve, and his students depend on him to be strong and upbeat, if occasionally obnoxious. Hence:]

[Meaning, he won't have to sling her over his shoulder and carry her out, so maybe they can have a little fun with what is otherwise a dour situation.

And truth be told, as unfortunate as it is that Nobara has to put up with this train and its associated dangers, Satoru is looking forward to having one of his students around.
